Terry Cascioli, a former chief revenue officer of the Erie (Pa.) Times-News, returned to the GateHouse Media newspaper as publisher.
He succeeds Ken Nelson, who had been publisher for more than four years.
Cascioli had been publisher of the Observer-Dispatch in Utica, N.Y., since leaving the Times-News in 2014. Both papers are owned by GateHouse Media.
Cascioli, 57, began his career at GateHouse as an advertising director of the Times-News.
Cascioli said he expects to continue a tradition of Times-News publishers who have played a large role in the community, working on behalf of economic development and other community issues. “I want to be a good community partner,” he said.
