I can’t think of a better way to close out 2018 than with the outstanding Executive Voices 2.0 in Chicago last month. For those of us who were fortunate to attend, this conference will truly be the gift that keeps on giving.
Executive Voices 2.0 was an excellent opportunity to connect with real operators confronting the issues we all face—and sharing real ideas and solutions that can be immediately applied at our organization. It was simply the best conference investment I’ve made all year.
You can read more about those ideas and solutions beginning on page 8 in this issue of The Inlander. But I’d like to share with you some of the takeaways from the attendees.
Jeff Patterson, president of the Central Division of Adams Publishing Group, spoke for many participants when he said that he came away “with several actionable items I know will make a difference in my organization.”
Kevin Olson, the owner and publisher of Teton Media Works in Jackson, Wyoming, said he filled two pages of ideas and notes from the discussion facilitators and the comments generated from participants.
As Bob Woodward, president and CEO of Woodward Communications in Dubuque, Iowa, noted, “Participants spoke candidly and there were a number of ‘to-do’s’ (or, at least, ‘to-try’s’) coming out of the sessions.”
Another such opportunity is coming up next month in Las Vegas. You can see the complete program of the Key Executives Mega-Conference here.
As you’ll see, the agenda alone will provide a bounty of actionable information to grow your organization in all the ways you want—in revenue, audience, engagement and innovation. Add to that the unparalleled networking opportunities that come from a conference co-sponsored by Inland, the Local Media Association, News Media Alliance and Southern Newspaper Publishers Association—and you have a truly must-attend industry event.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at the Paris Las Vegas February 25 to 27. I know I’ll find the Mega-Conference another great investment on the road to a prosperous 2019.
