Recent installations of Software Consulting Services pagination software tools include The Indiana Gazette in Indiana County, Pennsylvania; and The Virginian-Pilot, the Norfolk metro daily recently purchased by Tribune Publishing Company.
The daily Indiana Gazette has purchased SCS’s ad dummying and classified pagination software tools Layout-8000 and SCS/ClassPag. The products were chosen for their automation capabilities, and for the crucial ability to interface with the Gazette’s current systems: APT for ad order entry and DPS for ad tracking.
The Virginian-Pilot’s new owner, Tribune Publishing—publisher of such major metros as the Chicago Tribune, New York Daily News and Baltimore Sun—is an established customer of SCS and already uses Layout-8000 and SCS/ClassPag. As a result of this acquisition, the Virginian-Pilot has been transitioned to the SCS systems as well.
Manny Caipo, IT manager at Tribune Publishing, who worked on the migration process, says of SCS, “My favorite thing about working with SCS has been their strong commitment to their customers and unparalleled level of support in terms of issue resolution, project work, system integrations, and development. There’s a high degree of confidence with SCS’s engagements that lead to successful outcomes—truly a partnership from beginning to end.”
