Rory Palm began as regional president of Adams Publishing Group Media of the Rockies in May, after 25 years at Forum Communications, the last four as publisher of The Daily Republic in Mitchell, South Dakota.
“These past four years have gone by quickly,” Palm said in a Daily Republic article. “There’s a lot that my family and I will miss about Mitchell. It’s a great community. For me, I will especially miss my friends and coworkers at The Daily Republic. Their hard work, dedication and commitment to producing a quality newspaper each and every day is something that I will never forget. I wish them much success in the future.”
As an Adams regional president, Palm is overseeing four dailies: the Wyoming Tribune in Cheyenne; Laramie Boomerang, Rawlins Daily Times and Rock Springs Rocket Miner.
Matt McMillan, vice president of newspapers for Forum Communications, said in The Daily Republic article Palm “exemplifies an effective publisher and community leader.”
“He contributed 25 years to Forum Communications Company with the last of those in Mitchell,” McMillan said. “We thank him for his service and know he will continue to succeed in Wyoming. The Daily Republic remains one of the strongest news products in our company. Thanks to Rory’s leadership, it will be an excellent place for a new publisher to pick up where he left off.”
