Tom Yunt is chief operating officer of United Communications Corp., publisher of the flagship Kenosha (Wisc.) News, the Sun Chronicle, a daily newspaper in Attleboro, Mass.; the Public Opinion, a daily newspaper in Watertown, S.D.; and several broadcast stations. He was formerly president and CEO of Wick Communications Co., the family-owned group of 28 newspapers and 18 specialty publications in 11 states. He was also previously president and CEO of Dubuque, Iowa-based Woodward Communications. At Woodward, he was advertising director, then publisher of the flagship Telegraph-Herald. He served as advertising director for Indianapolis Newspapers Inc. and in senior advertising management positions for three Gannett newspapers. He is the current Inland Press Association president.
