Mark Medici is president of The Houston Chronicle, appointed in January 2019. He previously served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Hearst Newspapers, overseeing the consumer marketing strategy for all Hearst Newspapers across platforms. He joined Hearst Newspapers from Cox Media Group where he served as vice president of audience and newspaper operations from 2011 to 2018. Prior to that, he spent four years at A.H. Belo as vice president of audience for The Dallas Morning News. From 1997 to 2007, Medici worked at Advance Publications as an outside sales representative and later became director of audience for The Oregonian.
